How is flow calculated when using the weir options available in TUFLOW FV?

The flow equation for a weir is Q = CL (WL –H)(3/2)  where:

 

·         C is the weir coefficient, which has a default value of 1.6 (or can be changed using the “properties == P1,P2” command line)

·         L is the length of the cell face

·         WL is the water level in the upstream cell

·         H is the crest level at the cell face 

 

There is a submergence test performed; see the more information.
